I'm a transfer student. How do I get a study group going?

Being a transfer student can be challenging. Learning your way around campus, getting used to a new schedule, and building a community are all hard. Plus, it feels like everyone already knows each other, has their friend group established and their study-buddies in place.

When you’re new, It can be hard to ask other students for help in person or ask for their numbers to text or call them after class. So, what do you do when you need help in your classes or need to form a study group for an important exam?

The CircleIn App makes it easy to start a study group, even as a transfer student.

  1. Download CircleIn

Download the App directly to your phone or tablet. The CircleIn App connects to all of your classes and to the other students in your class automatically. Now you have access to your classmates outside of class without having to ask for people’s numbers.

  1. Ask Questions

Once you download the App, you can ask questions, post or request class notes, or get help on your homework from your classmates. You get points for posting and other students get points for responding to your post. Points can then be redeemed for gift cards and scholarships. Because everyone benefits, you don’t have to feel shy about asking questions in the app!

  1. Start a Study Group

Once in the App, you can either start a 1-to-1 study session or create a study group. The app has a chat and video feature, so you can simply chat back and forth with questions or start a live video chat.

Being active in the app helps! The more active you are, the easier it is going to be to get to know the other people in your class and figure out who you want to study with. Once you make that decision, all you have to do is send a text through the app to ask the other students to join you for a study group.

While being new can be daunting, CircleIn makes it easy to get help and build community.
