Should Students be Require to Take the COVID Vaccine?

Everyone is anxious for the pandemic to be over and for life to get back to “normal” or at least to begin forging a new normal. The creation and distribution of the vaccine is the fastest route to a return to normalcy.

But should you require it? While it makes sense to require the vaccine for safety reasons, only 68% of students in a recent survey said they would get it if it were required for the next school year. That’s 32% of students that you would have to deny admittance to, or worse - admit and then not allow them to begin their courses, forfeiting their tuition and risk not having anyone to fill their spot.

Rather than forcing students who may not be comfortable to get vaccinated or alienating students who do not want the vaccine for religious, medical, or philosophical reasons, you can provide students with additional support to help them get through this time successfully and graduate on-time.

CircleIn is the All-In-One Studying Platform where students gather together and solve really difficult problems. Rather than gathering in libraries and dorms to study together, students can gather online with their classmates, go over notes, get feedback, and talk about issues, just like they would in real in a coffee shop.

Students are able to connect with one another and find the support they need without the additional exposure that comes from in-person communication. They also feel what's it’s like to be normal again.

Keeping students safe while building community is key to helping students stay engaged with school during virtual/hybrid learning, which increases student satisfaction and retention.
