HACU advances excellence in higher education for over 5.2 million students, and has a network of over 500 member institutions across the U.S. They have extensive experience in fostering student success, advancing innovative academic and leadership development programs and we’re proud to announce a brand new partnership.

On February 12th at 3pm EST, HACU is hosting a webinar for their membership titled, “Shrinking Failure Rates in Gateway Courses” (to register for this webinar, click here). This will be the kick off of our new partnership where we will focus on how Miami Dade College and the University of South Carolina reduced the number of students getting D’s, F’s, and W’s, thus increasing pass rates in their high failure rate gateway courses, which is a critical leading indicator to better retention.

With our National Science Foundation Grants, partnering with institutions from large R1s, to small rural community college, we continue to hear the theme…

“College readiness is an issue. ACT scores have hit a 30-year low, with only 21% of students meeting college readiness benchmarks. Many high school seniors are entering college underprepared, affecting their success in key gateway courses and retention rates.”

This situation demands innovative strategies to support students during their transition to college and we’re thrilled to partner with HACU to help make success more attainable for their membership.
